The Best of Capri — According to the Co-owner of J.K. Place Hotels
And it’s every bit as fabulous as you’d expect.
This week on The Relisher, we’re in Capri with Ori Kafri — the co-founder of J.K. Place Hotels in Capri, Rome, Milan and Paris. Ori is one of Italy’s leading hoteliers, and J.K. Place hotels are widely regarded as some of the most renowned hotels in Italy and around the world.
In 2025, J.K. Place Capri was named Best Hotel in Italy by Condé Nast Traveller and awarded three Michelin Keys. A year earlier, J.K. Place Rome earned Best Hotel in Rome and Best Hotel in Italy from Travel + Leisure.
Capri is one of those places you need to book months in advance — often six months to a year for the best hotels — so I’m sharing this guide now, just in time for summer planning.
Below, the Capri tastemaker shares his favorite spots on the island — where to go for lunch and dinner, the best beach clubs, boutiques he loves, and more. In short, everything you need to have the most fabulous experience of Capri.
A Google Map with all of the locations is provided at the end of the interview.
Fun fact: Ori was actually the very first person I interviewed for The Relisher, for the Florence edition. When I later visited Florence myself, I followed his recommendations — and every single one was perfect. He’s the only person ever featured in The Relisher twice. His taste is exceptional, especially in Italy.
