This week, we’re in Puglia with Angelo Sabatelli, chef-patron of Michelin-starred Angelo Sabatelli Ristorante, one of the region’s leading chefs.
Born and raised in Puglia, Angelo earned his Michelin star in 2013 and has held it ever since. Italy’s influential fine-dining publication Identità Golose has called him “Puglia’s most avant-garde chef,” and San Pellegrino’s Fine Dining Lovers included his restaurant among its unmissable restaurants in Puglia.
This is a phenomenal edition. Below Angelo shares:
Puglia’s must-visit restaurants, from one of the region’s best seafood restaurants to one of Italy’s top trattorias
Where to experience Puglia’s world-class cheeses, including one of the world’s top-ranked burratas
Puglian wineries you can visit, including an estate from one of Italy’s most historic wine families
The olive oil producers he buys from — and where you can visit and taste
What to bring home — and why fall is the time to come
A Google Map with all of the locations mentioned is provided at the end of the interview.
